School Based AT/AAC Assessments

The purpose of IATP's Speech Pathologist is to coordinate, plan and perform AT/AAC assessments for school districts throughout the entire state of Illinois free of charge.  IATP’s Speech Pathologist will help guide school districts through the process of obtaining AT/AAC for students.

Meet Our Speech Pathologist

Katie has been with the Illinois Assistive Technology Program since September 2011.  Prior to coming to IATP, Katie worked for 5 years in the Springfield Public Schools.  She received her Masters Degree from Illinois State University and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).  Her passion lies in the area of AAC and she enjoys helping students find their voice.

Meet Our Assistive Technology Specialist

Jessica has been with the Illinois Assistive Technology Program since 2008 where she serves as an Assistive Technology Specialist. She is certified as an Assistive Technology Professional by the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA).  She performs assistive technology evaluations on a variety of customers including people seeking employment through the state’s vocational rehabilitation program and students with disabilities of all ages.
