Visit IATP at the State Fair

Where can you learn about assistive technology devices and services, pet prize winning goats and see a cow made entirely of butter, all while enjoying a delicious corndog? At the Illinois State Fair, of course.

Kids at the 2009 IATP State Fair boothStop by and visit IATP’s exhibit booth - we will be located in the Illinois Building, which is also home to senior activities. The Illinois Building is the first building just past the giant Abe Lincoln statue inside the main gate on Sangamon Avenue.

People with disabilities playing the accessible wiiIATP’s booth will feature a wide variety of assistive technology devices to try, and will even have an accessible wii to play.

The Illinois State Fair runs from August 13, 2010 through August 22, 2010 and our exhibit hours will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Accessible parking is available at gate 7, off of Taintor Road.

The Illinois Assistive Technology Program (IATP) is a not-for-profit agency that promotes the availability of assistive technology services and programs for people with disabilities. IATP serves all people with disabilities in the state of Illinois, their families, service providers, state agencies, private industry, educators, and other interested individuals, regardless of age or income.
