AT Classifieds Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is AT Classifieds?
AT Classifieds is a program designed to assist consumers who are interested in buying, selling or donating assistive technology devices. It is a person-to-person exchange that works much like the newspaper classifieds.
2. What is the fee for listing an item?
IATP provides this service free of charge.
3. What type of equipment can be listed?
Any piece of AT that can assist a person in living a more independent life may be listed. Sellers and buyers are responsible for determining the condition of the items.
4. How do I list an item for sale or donation?
After accessing our website at www.iltech.org, simply click AT Classifieds in the green menu box on the left. This will take you to a page that gives a brief description of the classifieds and has a disclaimer listed at the bottom of the page. You must click the box that says I'VE READ AND ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THE EXCHANGE to continue on to the next page. After accepting the terms, the next page will be AT Classifieds by IATP. Click on the appropriate link and fill out the form that appears.
5. What happens after I add an item to the classifieds?
After you submit your item, it will be reviewed and posted on the webpage.
6. How can I edit information after I've submitted it to AT Classifieds?
Any changes or editing can be made by contacting Jane Teeter at IATP by email at jteeter@iltech.org or by telephone at 217/522-7985(voice), 217/522-9966 (tty), or 800/852-5110 (voice/tty IL only)
7. How can I browse listed items?
Simply click on the button Items for Sale, or Items Donated to view available items.
8. How long will my information be listed?
You will be notified after your item has been listed for 90 days. You then have the option to either remove it or renew it for another 90 days.
9. What do I do when my equipment sells?
After your equipment sells, please notify Jane Teeter by email at jteeter@iltech.org or by telephone at 217/522-7985(voice), 217/522-9966(tty), or 800/852-5110 (voice/tty IL only). Prompt notification will help us keep our information current.
